Kasper Zeij

Kasper was born 3 months early (premature) in 1979 in Denmark. He is, due to birth, totally blind in his left eye and has only approx. 50% vision in the right eye (myopic). Despite his eyesight, Kasper has developed a very visual and creative ability within the image medium. Since 1994, he has been a self-taught (video/TV/film) photographer and film editor. In 1999, Kasper began a career, primarily as a TV and film editor, both within local TV, commercials, music videos, short films and later as a freelancer in the Danish film and TV industry. In 2011, Kasper published a book, via the National Association of Premature Conditions, about being born prematurely and becoming an adult. Today, Kasper works part-time in a flexible job / gentle job (due to stress), with a local estate agent. Here, video production is the primary task. Kasper first started his photo hobby as an amateur (DSLR) photographer in 2018. Since then, he has been a member of Fotoklubben Kronborg in Helsingør and later in 2020, also a member of SDF (Society for Danish Photography). Since 2019, Kasper has won 23 diplomas in Fotoklubben Kronborg's internal photo competitions, as well as 9 diplomas in various external Nordic and international competitions. In 2022, Kasper received a 3rd place diploma as "Photographer of the Year" in Fotoklubben Kronborg. Kasper sees himself as; aesthetically grounded, with a penchant for the good story and the beautiful picture...
